Eco friendly GreenHeart porfolio from Sony!

Posted February 5th, 2010 by Greg

Sony Ericsson created the GreenHeart™ portfolio of mobile phones! This is a result of years of hard innovation research and analysis of the current climate and technology offered. This portfolio offers you the greener choice, by reducing the overall environmental impact a normal mobile phone can produce. They have managed to do this without compromising on style or features, this really is innovative technology at its best.

Here’s an introduction to the GreenHeart™ portfolio:

John Grant, the author of The Green Marketing Manifesto said ‘it’s not about making the normally stuff seem green, it’s about making green stuff seem normal’

They are committed to reducing the CO2 footprint for our activities by 20%  before 2015 and they want to reduce the CO2 impact of the whole lifecycle of their phones by 15% in 2015. Another aim is to collect at least 1 million phones back yearly through a global take back program by at the latest 2011.

Sony are bringing out a whole range of  GreenHeart™ mobile phones. Check out the Sony Ericsson Elm – Click-Here.

Confidence is rising in consumers

Posted February 3rd, 2010 by Greg

Reports have it that consumer confidence rose in Britain over January, driven by improving optimism over the outlook for the economy and personal finances, which was shown by Gfk NOP for the European Commission showed last Friday.

The survey was conducted between January the 8th and 17th – and showed an increase in consumer spending. It’s done on a point system, this January stands at 20 points higher than that of previous January’s.
Managing director of GfK NOP social research, Nick Moon said, “Alongside the news that the economy has just crept out of recession, the return of the CCB to upward movement after two months of falling back will be welcome news for the government,”

Data from the Gfk NOP showed the economy grew by a much weaker-than-expected 0.1% in the fourth quarter of 2009, which meant it just crept out of the 18-month recession.

Businesses all over the UK should start to see sales begin to pick up throughout 2010.
