Manufacturers raise their ‘game’

posted March 28th, 2008 by Greg

Veteran mobile phone users will rememberpicking uptheirNokia 3330 and thinking ‘oooh i’ll just have a quick game of snake!’ Two hours later you’ve had 18 games, you have sore thumbs and you still haven’t beaten your highest score. Today users pick up their phone and think ‘ 0o0h ill just have a game of Fifa 08!’ Manufacturers continue to amaze by raising their ‘game’ and wowing the consumer with adding unique features and facilities. The Nokia N82 and N95 8GB are no different. You can download Fifa 08 straight to the handsets and play to your hearts content.

This is perfect for gaming lovers, Fifa 08 has a cult following, each addicted to the game. Having the opportunity to play your favourite game wherever you are and whenever you wish must be a relishing prospect. I’ve had a go myself and to be honest it’s a pretty cool game, on two handsets packed with the latest features on the market. I have the odd go on a PS3 but I wouldn’t say i’m an avid gamer. However, a while back Sony patented the concept of a PSP phone, so I thought I would take a look into it. Then I hit a wall, no official announcements, just concepts, hearsay and wishes. So take a look at the pictures below generated by internet users from the world around, have your own thoughts, your own wishes and watch this space…

Can I have an iPod Shuffle? Certainly, that’ll be £30,000!

posted March 27th, 2008 by Greg

I am a big fan of the iPod, I have 3 myself, the Shuffle, the touch and the mini. Each one of them is rammed with songs from my poor taste collection. I like the whole idea behind iPods, so many songs, videos and pictures all in a hand held device, and the truth is they keep getting better. Recently an iPod shuffle went on sale in London, encrusted in gold and covered with 420 diamonds. It’s a snip too at only £30,000! We offer free iPods with our free contract phones, i’m not sure we will be able to offer this one free so don’t get your hopes up. But nevertheless it’s worth a look…

Ideal upgrade opportunity – Sony Ericsson W890i…

posted March 26th, 2008 by Greg

A week or so ago we launched the Sony Ericsson W890i. This sleek and handsome music phone is an ideal upgrade opportunity for anyone near the end of their contract. In addition it is also an ideal upgrade opportunity for anyone who have bought any of the other Walkman range phones. The W890i has far superior features to the other models, so if you have had the likes of the W810i, W850i, W580i or the W880i then the W890i will not disappoint.

It is visibly stunning and it has features to match. It boasts a 3.2 megapixel camera – the highest of the Walkman range, and an FM radio. It’s your music so have it your way, the W890i allows for this via SenseMe. This is a unique application which populates tracks according to your mood. It calculates the beats per minute on your favourite tunes and puts them into a scatter graph. Your songs are dots on the graph, placed there in relation to the beats per minute. So if your sad/loved up, simply highlight the area of slow songs and it will create a playlist according to that mood. If you are feeling happy highlight the fast area and it will create a playlist in accordance with your happy mood.

We provide the W890i with a … memory card which means you can get started with up to … songs. The memory is expandable up to 4GB which will allow you to store 2,000 songs. The W890i can only be describes as the ‘all-rounder’ – good camera, high spec music features, stylish and pleasing on the eye. Perfect for an upgrade or a new deal, for upgrades call our dedicated upgrades team on 0800 049 6078 or click here to get the phone free with free line rental.

See the W890i in all its glory:

posted March 12th, 2008 by Greg

Nintendo have had children of all ages swinging virtual golf clubs and tennis rackets for the last year or so. It will come as no surprise that the Japanese gaming giants have pushed the boundary of reality again. It will, however, come as a surprise as to which direction they have pushed it! Let me introduce you toWii Fit:

The Wii Fit game and balance board will allow you and family members/friends to get a full core workout and then compare your results and progress. The game will allow you to burn fat, tone and condition muscles with 40 different activities from 4 key areas – Aerobic Exercises, Muscle Workouts, Yoga and Balance.

The balance boardwill detect shifts in your balance and movements, it is also conveniently wireless, simply pop your balance board in front of theTV and off you go! But don’t reach for the spandex too soon, the Wii Fitwillnot be availablefor around 44 days from today. The balance board will not just be exclusive to the Wii Fit game either, apparently you will be able to use the device for Sport and Fighting games.
