Look what Wii’ve got!

Greg posted April 23rd, 2008 by Greg

Back in March I wrote a post on Wii Fit, a new concept from the Japanese gaming giants Nintendo. The Wii Fit game and balance board will allow you and family members/friends to get a full core workout and then compare your results and progress. The game will allow you to burn fat, tone and condition muscles with 40 different activities from 4 key areas - Aerobic Exercises, Muscle Workouts, Yoga and Balance.

It’s wicked fun for all the family, no need to go to expensive health clubs, if you thought it couldn’t get any better, you can now get Wii Fit FREE with your FREE contract phone at e2save! But that’s not all we will throw in a FREE Nintendo Wii and a copy of the Wii Sports game. That’s a bundle worth over £248!

Here’s a reminder of what Wii Fit looks like in action:

Manufacturers raise their ‘game’

Greg posted March 28th, 2008 by Greg

Veteran mobile phone users will remember picking up their Nokia 3330 and thinking ‘oooh i’ll just have a quick game of snake!’  Two hours later you’ve had 18 games, you have sore thumbs and you still haven’t beaten your highest score.  Today users pick up their phone and think ‘ 0o0h ill just have a game of Fifa 08!’  Manufacturers continue to amaze by raising their ‘game’ and wowing the consumer with adding unique features and facilities.  The Nokia N82 and N95 8GB are no different.  You can download Fifa 08 straight to the handsets and play to your hearts content.

This is perfect for gaming lovers, Fifa 08 has a cult following, each addicted to the game.  Having the opportunity to play your favourite game wherever you are and whenever you wish must be a relishing prospect.  I’ve had a go myself and to be honest it’s a pretty cool game, on two handsets packed with the latest features on the market.  I have the odd go on a PS3 but I wouldn’t say i’m an avid gamer.  However, a while back Sony patented the concept of a PSP phone, so I thought I would take a look into it.  Then I hit a wall, no official announcements, just concepts, hearsay and wishes.  So take a look at the pictures below generated  by internet users from the world around, have your own thoughts, your own wishes and watch this space…

Don’t go to the Gym - stay in shape with your Wii!

Greg posted March 12th, 2008 by Greg

Nintendo have had children of all ages swinging virtual golf clubs and tennis rackets for the last year or so.  It will come as no surprise that the Japanese gaming giants have pushed the boundary of reality again.  It will, however, come as a surprise as to which direction they have pushed it!  Let me introduce you to Wii Fit:

The Wii Fit game and balance board will allow you and family members/friends to get a full core workout and then compare your results and progress.  The game will allow you to burn fat, tone and condition muscles with 40 different activities from 4 key areas - Aerobic Exercises, Muscle Workouts, Yoga and Balance.

The balance board will detect shifts in your balance and movements, it is also conveniently wireless, simply pop your balance board in front of the TV and off you go!  But don’t reach for the spandex too soon, the Wii Fit will not be available for around 44 days from today.  The balance board will not just be exclusive to the Wii Fit game either, apparently you will be able to use the device for Sport and Fighting games.
