**Love them or hate them, tablets are taking over the world.****They’re everywhere you go- in restaurants instead of notepads, pub quizzes instead of score sheets- I mean, what’s wrong with good old fashion pen and paper? **But there are some people out there who really take the biscuit. Not sure how to use a tablet? Don’t follow the lead from these guys…
1. The irritating photographer
It’s happened to all of us: you’re at the front of the concert, in touching distance of Pharrel’s hat, and someone steps in front of you with a ginormous tablet that’s bigger than your head.
Now we haven’t got a problem with taking blurred videos of gigs you’ll probably never watch again- but with a tablet, really?
2. Pimp your ride
If you’re desperate to upgrade your clapped out car, why not give it a DIY makeover with the help of an iPad and some blue tack?
If you’re lucky enough to prop the tablet up on your dashboard’s specially designed ‘tablet shelf’, then it can provide you with the perfect in-house entertainment system. Music? Check. Clock? Check. Built-in navigation? Most definitely check.

3. A chopping board
If you’ve ever lived in a student house you’ll know that kitchen utensils are precious- especially when most of them are tied up in the never ending washing up queue. But don’t worry, this is where your tablet could come in handy- and the bigger the better! But make sure you turn on your wood effect background to get an authentic chopping experience.
4. Door stop
This one speaks for itself. When you need to prop the door open, you’ll use anything that’s to hand. A chair, a fire extinguisher, an iPad…
5. Halloween costume
With the winter on its way we turn to the closest big celebration: Halloween! So throw out your battered witch’s broom and welcome in technology to make your Halloween costume more gruesome than the rest.
6. Arcade console
Tablets might be new technology but there’s nothing like a good arcade game to get the nostalgic juices flowing. Just slide in your tablet and go back in time- forget about Flappy birds, it’s all about Pac Man and Space Invaders.
7. As a cat toy
If you’re feeling flush and want to treat your kitty, give them hours of fun with all the perfect-feline inspired games available in the app store. Who knew that using a tablet could keep a cat so happy?! Just make sure you’ve got a screen protector on first…
8. As an over-sized phone
And last but not least, you could try using your tablet as an over-sized phone. OK so you would need WiFi or Skype to actually do that- but hopefully the shame of holding such a giant device to your ear should stop you before you discover this limitation.
