Apple iPhone 5?

With WWDC 2012 announcing the full list of exciting iOS 6 features for iPhone, there were no hard facts or announcement regarding the new iPhone 5 release date. Expected to house a supersonic quad core processor and with rumour of a larger 4 inch display, this is sure to be the biggest Apple iPhone release of all-time.

As sales of the Samsung Galaxy S3 thrive across the globe, are Apple pressured to move their iPhone 5 release date forward? As many rumours hint at an August release, we feel it’s unlikely the iPhone 5 will step into the limelight before the Autumn release of iOS 6. It would be like Apple demonstrating their hardware without the iOS 6 software it was built for.

When will the Apple iPhone 5 release in the UK?

Our best prediction is that the Apple iPhone 5 release will be announced on the five year anniversary of the original iPhone release date. It’s the perfect opportunity for an Apple keynote to champion the iPhone’s impact on the smartphone industry. Rather than wait until October to sell millions of units, moving forward to a mid September release, will allow Apple to take on the Samsung Galaxy S3 sales rush. A September release will still support the iOS 6 Autumn release date.
