Everything You Need To Know About Apple TV+
Want to learn more about Apple TV+? We fill you in on everything about Apple's new streaming service.
Apple TV+ was first announced in March 2019, a streaming service that Tim Cook claimed “is unlike anything that’s come before.” If you’re interested in learning more about Apple’s very own TV streaming service, from its launch date to the shows you can watch on it - find out all you need to know below.
What is Apple TV+?
Apple TV+ is a streaming service, dubbed by Apple as the first all-original video subscription service. Apple TV+ is set to rival streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime, but unlike these streaming services, it will show only original content.
When will Apple TV+ launch?
Apple TV+ will be released worldwide on November 1st 2019.
What does AppleTV+ Plus Cost?
Apple TV+ will cost just £4.99 per month. However, if you buy an iPhone, iPad Mac or AppleTV, you’ll be able to get a year’s subscription for free. There’s also the option of a 7-day free trial, so you can try out the service and watch some of its shows before making a commitment.
AppleTV+ will be available in over 100 countries worldwide and will be completely ad-free.
Which devices support AppleTV+?
The streaming service will be available on the AppleTV+ app across all Apple devices, including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod Touch and Mac. It won’t be available to download as an app on non-Apple devices, but if you don’t have an Apple device and want to use the platform then don’t worry - you’ll be able to do so online at tv.apple.com.
Through Family Sharing, up to six family members can share one Apple TV+ subscription, so you don’t need to pay extra for more people using the service at once.
What shows will be on Apple TV+?
Apple TV+ launches with plenty of original TV shows ready to stream, and there’s a lot of big names on the bill.
The Morning Show is a drama about the world of morning television, starring Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston and Steve Carrell. The drama follows the story of morning TV co-anchors and Witherspoon’s aspiring journalist. The Morning Show promises to be one of the biggest hits on the streaming service.
