Design: “Beauty through simplicity”
When it comes to design, the brand new HTC One shares many of the same features as its predecessor. Well, you know how the saying goes: if it ain’t broke, why fix it?
Ninety percent of the HTC One M8 is made of high quality metal, giving it an even more premium feel than the original HTC One. And that’s not all; the M8 also sports a brushed hairline finish which is notoriously difficult to achieve on a curved surface.
The device is not only available in the light silver of the HTC One, but also in gun metal grey, gold and red, making it stand out from the crowded Android market.

When it comes to video, the All New HTC One doesn’t disappoint either. When shooting a video, you can pause, reframe and continue filming, making your smartphone turn into a top of the range video camera.

Sense 6: “Sixth sense”
HTC is the king of innovation, and this is demonstrated no more than in the One M8. The device will run HTC’s latest user interface, Sense 6, or “sixth sense” as coined by the company.
In order to make the smartphone more intuitive to your wants and needs, HTC has given BlinkFeed a total redesign, generating more open space to make it easier to read at a glance.
Sense 6’s BlinkFeed also marks various activities with different colours, customisable to each individual user. That means that, not only is the M8’s user interface more unique than ever before, but it is also much easier to find the content you are looking for.
The All New HTC One also takes gesture control to another level, allowing users to access a number of features at just a touch of a button. To take a photo, just press down on the volume rocker to activate the camera; to unlock the phone, simply double tap on the device’s screen; if you want to answer a call in one fell swoop, just hold the phone to your ear- it really is that easy!

The new flagship smartphone sports the same infrared technology doubling up the device as a television remote. When it comes to audio, HTC has again always been at the forefront of technology. The HTC One M8 features the same BoomSound dual-frontal speakers as we saw on its predecessor. However, the M8 is in fact 25% louder than the HTC One, offering sharper audio with more depth. Extended Battery life
Rather than simply enlarging the One M8’s battery, HTC has gone down the software road, improving the longevity of the smartphone’s battery life to keep up with the demands of our hectic lives.
The device comes with a built-in power saving mode- which will be upgraded to an ‘Extreme Power Saving Mode’ later this spring.
