Epic Nokia Lumia 735 Camera Features, Say Cheese!

Epic Nokia Lumia 735 Camera Features, Say Cheese!

Nokia has jumped on the selfie bandwagon with both feet, launching a so-called selfie phone in the shape of the Nokia Lumia 735. This budget handset has been designed with its front facing camera in mind, and offers a load of camera apps that make the phone any amateur photographer’s dream. So if you’re a selfie-proclaimed (sorry, awful joke) photo addict, then listen up: here is our Nokia Lumia 735 review.

Full-HD 5MP Front facing Camera

First and foremost, let’s discuss the Lumia 735’s 5 megapixel front facing camera. Whilst most smartphones are eager to pack in the megapixels into their rear facing snappers, not many of them concentrate quite so much on the front.

Nokia Lumia 730 Selfie Smartphone

Not only does Nokia’s latest budget smartphone offer one of highest megapixel front facing lenses, it also features full HD technology to make your self-portraits as sharp as ever. Plus, with a wide lens on board, you can squeeze more into each shot- so gather up your friends and create your own Ellen DeGeneres selfie snap!

Selfie App

Not only has Nokia built a super sharp selfie snapper, but it has also created its own selfie app just for the occasion. The app, which comes pre-downloaded on the Lumia 735, uses face recognition technology to make sure your face is perfectly in the shot.

The Nokia Selfie app even lets you edit your photos- from making your face look slimmer, your eyes wider or even your teeth whiter! Surely that makes it the best selfie app on the market?

Nokia Lumia 735 camera

OK, so enough about the Lumia 730’s front facing camera. What about the phone’s rear snapper?

This latest budget Nokia sports a 6.7 megapixel rear lens, making it just that bit larger than the 5 megapixel effort on the front.  Similarly to the front camera, the rear lens also sports an extra wide aperture, meaning your shots are much brighter and sharper thanks to the extra light that the lens lets in. On top of this, the Nokia Lumia 730 is one of the first budget handsets to boast Nokia’s own ZEISS optics, which are usually only spotted on flagship smartphones.

Nokia Camera App

When it comes to editing your photos, Nokia certainly hasn’t left you out to dry. Offering a number of digital camera add-ons including Panorama lens, Nokia Camera and Nokia Refocus you can really get creative, perfecting your shots before sending them out to the big wide world of the internet.

The Lumia 730 also sports some more fun photo apps including Nokia Cinemagraph, which allows you to add animations to your still shots and create enchanting moving slideshows.

Windows Phone 8.1

While the Windows Phone OS  might not strictly be a camera feature on the Lumia 730, it does bring with it access to some truly unique camera apps and photo features.

Nokia has made searching for your fave photos a whole lot easier, allowing you to view images by month, album or even via social networks. On the app front, the Windows Phone app store offers thousands of your favourite photo apps, including Snapchat and Instagram. Whilst the app store features some of the most recognisable apps in the camera arena, it also plays host to a number of unique ones too, including programmes which offer cool camera effects, collage makers and even movie makers!
