Our top five apps of the moment
Recently our parent company The Carphone Warehouse announced the launch of its app awards the ‘appys’. With 50 fantastic apps shortlisted down into 10 separate categories they have inspired us to give our input on which apps are making us ‘appy’ at the moment.
What’s App
First up is the What’s App app. Possibly one of the best messaging apps out there, What’s App lets you instant message your friends for free. You can include pictures, emoticons and even have group chats with more than one friend at once across different phones and operating systems. Ideal for when you want a quick catch up or quickly need to organise plans for the night What’s App is for you.
RBS Six nations app
Next is one for the sports fans out there. Aside from the World Cup the Rugby six nations is the most exciting rugby tournament in the world. Seeing as it happens but once a year you can’t afford to miss out on all the incredible sporting action offered by a tournament like this. Well with the official RBS 6 Nations App you can get live scores as they happen, live text commentary, team information, and even video highlights from each game.
iAmBeatBox
From SavageApps, ‘iAmBeatBox’ is a free beatbox orientated loop sampler. Easy and extremely fun to use, its guaranteed to improve your inner rhythm and enjoyment of music. The samples are absolutely heavenly but don’t just listen to me, check it out for yourself! Oh and and you can mixdown your recording to MP3 absolutely FREE! What a Godsend J
Beatbox Ultra
The premium, paid version of ‘iAmBeatBox’ features even more interstellar samples, more options, equalizer and again that superb option to mixdown to MP3. Get creative!
(GAME) ‘Stenches’
Possibly the most fun I have had on an iPhone game in quite some time. Get stuck into the trenches with your fellow comrades and hold back the invading Zombified enemies. Strategy, teamwork and patience are essential.
