The mobile phone heroes of 2010!
So 2010 has come and nearly gone and it was an incredibly exciting year for mobile phones and technology. Lets take a look back at some of the highlights for some of the main mobile phone manufacturers :-
Nokia – The Nokia N8 was perhaps what Nokia have been aiming for since the Nokia N97 really didn’t do very well. The Nokia N8 triumphed, the first 12-megapixel cameraphone from Nokia, with HD video, large 16GB internal memory, HDMI output and a beautiful 3.5 inch AMOLED touchscreen.
Samsung – Samsungs phone of 2010 has to be the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone, with many people choosing it over the Apple iPhone. It introduced the gorgeous Super AMOLED touchscreen, which is still one of the top touchscreens available on a mobile phone. Samsung also went on to produce the Google Nexus S, the second in the Google phones range and its an absolute stunner!
[Sony Ericsson] – Sony Ericssons champions of 2010 has to be the Xperia range of smartphones. With the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, the X10 Mini and the X10 pro they offered a phone to suit anybodys needs. The X10 Mini also remains the smallest smartphone produced to date!
LG – Although LG didn’t release any huge Smartphone killers in 2010, we were impressed by the Optimus range – The LG GT Optimus and the LG Optimus One. These budget range smartphones provided an Android experience without a huge price tag, which made the smartphone experience even more accessible.
BlackBerry – BlackBerry spent 2010 further defining their smartphone range and released what may have been the best budget smartphone of 2010, with the BlackBerry 8520. BlackBerry continue to be the kings of the QWERTY keyboard but they really will need to have some big phone releases in 2011 in order to keep up with the pack in 2011.
HTC – It really has been a huge year for HTC with massive smartphone releases such as the HTC Desire and the Desire HD as well as the budget HTC Wildfire. HTC have been a key player in the Android arena of smartphones and have been flawlessly implementing the popular operating system on their phones.
