The Playstation phone is making its way to e2save

Finally Sony Ericssson’s Playstation Phone has been unmasked and brought in to the light for us all to see. The now to be called ‘Xperia Play’ is the first all in one smartphone and game console in history and we are happy to announce will be making its way to e2save in the not too distant future.

In terms of gaming, the Playstation certified 4 inch Android is an absolute gem. Fine tuned for ‘gamers hands’ the Xperia Play boasts a clear stereo sound, D pad, dual analogue touchpads, trigger buttons and of course the classic; x, square, triangle and circle buttons you know and love from Playstation.

The Xperia Play comes running Android 2.3 Gingerbread (Android’s fastest operating system to date) and also houses a 1Ghz processor and Adreno 205 GPU inside. Put simply, the Xperia Play is fast… really fast.
With more features and optimisation than you could shake a stick at the Xperia Play isn’t just a machine of brute strength, it’s got intelligence and it’s got heart. With clever tweaking and refinement the Xperia has the possibility to play Android games from Android market and also control apps with the built in hardware. Tutorials and guides of just how to do that are on Sony Ericsson Developer world. How thoughtful.

With all the focus on gaming, speed and performance, it’s easy to forget about what else you get with the Play and believe me there’s a lot more. Not only is there a 5.0 megapixel camera at the back but how about a VGA video call camera at the front. Or what about the almost limitless list of Google features and utilities that come pre installed with the Play; like Google Talk, Gmail and of course Google search to name a few.

With the Xperia Play the gaming future is now, and whether you want to play EA Sports, Angry Birds or just simply make a phone call to boast about your gaming exploits we couldn’t think of a better phone to do it on. On behalf of Sony Ericsson, ladies and gentlemen, ‘Game on’.
