If you're looking to update your contract while still under agreement, you'll need to pay an early termination fee. This is generally equivalent to your remaining months' line rental.

This is my first contract - will there be a credit check?

All new mobile phone contacts require a credit check. This is a network requirement, and we're unable to affect or guarantee a credit check outcome.

Should I get a contract phone or buy a phone outright?

This is entirely down to personal preference. Ordering a contract phone helps you spread the cost over a two year period, but buying a phone outright often works out cheaper in the long run.
