Do I need a PAC or a STAC code?

This depends on whether you want to keep your number. A PAC code will carry forward your existing mobile number. A STAC code will terminate your existing number.

How do I get a PAC or STAC from?

There’s a free text message service you can use to request your PAC or STAC. Alternatively, you can contact your existing provider who you want to leave, to request this. Just follow the steps above.

How do I keep my existing number?

All you need to do is request your PAC code via the free text message service, then pass this to your new provider. Just follow the steps above.

How long does it take to switch?

As soon as you’ve provided your PAC or STAC to your new network, you can expect the switch to be completed within one working day.

Will I lose network coverage during the switching process?

As the switching procedure can take up to one working day, there may be a brief period during the swap-over where you lose coverage. However it will only be for a short time.

Can I switch to any network?

Yes, you can switch to any network on the market. We offer deals on EE, Vodafone, O2 or iD Mobile, so just choose whichever deal is most appealing to you.

Can I switch provider half-way through my contract?

The best time to switch is usually once your contract has ended as this won’t incur a charge. If you switch mid-contract you’ll need to pay an early-termination fee, equivalent to your remaining line rental.

Can I switch onto a SIM-only deal (and vice-versa)?

Yes, you’re free to switch to whatever type of new deal is right for you. Select a new mobile phone contract if you like, or switch to a SIM-only deal if you don’t need a new phone.
